A more intense colour than usual for this wine which doesn’t have the brown tints indicative of its region of origin. The nose is expressive with an unexpected hint of liquorice. There is also a slight hint of alcohol which fades away after the tasting. The attack in the mouth is well-rounded and smooth. This wine is not over-excitable – more easy-going though still lively
